About Us
Toutle Lake School District is located on the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, off of Interstate 5 in Southwest Washington, enroute to the visitors centers at Mt. St. Helen’s National Monument. The district serves two school buildings, an Elementary K-6 school and a Jr/Sr High School with 7-12 grades. We currently serve just less than 700 students. Our school enrollment is on an upward trend. The district name is a combination of two communities in the area. The towns of Toutle and Silver Lake were combined to create the school district name of Toutle Lake. The first graduating class consisted of nine people in 1933. Our district is bordered by four other school districts. The community has many camping, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor opportunities.
